A mixture of diammonium phosphate and food-grade urea. Yeast nutrient feeds the yeast ensuring that it remains healthy throughout fermentation.
- For beer: add 1 teaspoon per gallon during the last 10 minutes of the boil.
- For wine: add 1 teaspoon per gallon prior to fermentation beginning or prior to yeast pitching.
- For hard seltzer: 1/2 teaspoon per 5 gallons prior to fermentation begins.
